Specifically speaking, the Asus EEE PC 1015P EM buttole neck is the very slow hard drive. I replaced the hard drive with an SSD hard drive. I still have 1GB ram (will upgrade to 2GB soon) and the difference in the computer speed is unbelievable! It actually works and responds like a normal computer should. I also upgraded my Windows to windows 7.
Bought an Asus Eee PC 1001p about 3 years ago. Has been working fine even though it has never been reformatted. However, the other day it did not want to turn on. Pressing the power button, the power LED and HDD will only flash once and then nothing. Have tried plugging in the power with the battery and without. Same result. Any ideas, thanks
